Gbenga Odusola holds in 1984, an LLB Degree from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo
University) and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985 and equally holds an LLM Degree from
University of Lagos (1987), and PhD (2023) with specialization in consumer protection and Food
and Drugs, at the Faculty of Law, University of Abuja, FCT. A member of I.B.A and also a
Notary Public, Dr. Odusola has attended various Local and Foreign Seminars and Legal Training
programs to horn his Legal Skills. A seasoned Legal Practitioner, he was for many years a Senior
Counsel in the Firm of Irving & Bonnar (the first Law firm in Nigeria and for many years the
Gate way for documentation and provision of comprehensive Legal Advisory Services for major
Foreign Capital Inflow and Investment vehicles into Nigeria).
Over the years, he had participated in several of such Legal negotiations and documentations on
behalf of Investors (Foreign and Multi-Nationals) in virtually all sector of the Economy,
including Public Issues, Privatization, Mergers and Consolidations, and various Financing Projects
in the Aviation and Oil and Gas Sector including Mobil/Oso Condensate Project, NNPC – NGL
Project, Tenneco/British Gas, Halliburton/Smith International, financing and various project
finance documentations, involving International and Multilateral Lenders/Investors such as I.F.C
and the World Bank, to mention but a few.
Dr. Odusola is also well regarded in the Aviation Industry as a Legal Expert having participated
in the negotiations, leading to acquisitions, registrations, mortgages and de-registrations of
many Commercial Aircrafts in Nigeria involving McDonald Douglas and Boeing. For over two
decades, Dr. Odusola, practices in the Law Firm and under the name “Gbenga Odusola & Co,” (a
