She graduated from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University with LL.B (Hons) in 1981. She attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982. Thereafter she attended the London School of Economics and Political Science of the University of London where she earned her LL.M degree certificate in 1984. She qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1989 and is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA) of London and Nigeria respectively and has attended various local and foreign seminars. She also attended the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center in Houston, Texas and holds a diploma of the Institute in Mediation and Dispute Resolution.
